    The former of WEC, founded in 1958, is the 4th Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry of China, was the Major consulting agency  of chemical industries of central government of China. In 1992, it is evaluated by the Ministry of construction of China as the 16th among most  strongest prospecting and engineering companies with comprehensive capabilities. Currently it has over 800 staff members with 85% strong technical force, among which over 30 experts take government's special subsidy and it has more than 100 professorial senior engineers and 300 senior engineers.     WEC has been involved in all kinds of chemical, petrochemical and medicine plants and associated facilities, its business covers consultation, design, project management, supervision, turn key contracting and assessment of environmental impact etc. of civil work, power, municipal construction and environment projects.
